Energy Central Utilities Bahrain South Water Company B.S.C. (C) (‘ECU’) was established in 2008 and has its corporate headquarters near the luxury residential resort of ‘Durrat Al Bahrain’.
The company was created as the functional arm and subsidiary of Energy Central Company B.S.C. (C) (‘ECCO’) which itself was established by a consortium of prominent GCC companies to operate within the multi-utility sphere across the GCC countries.
ECU’s flagship project arose from a concession agreement signed with ‘Durrat Khaleej Al Bahrain’ (‘DKAB’) in 2008. This was to provide irrigation water to the resort over twenty-five years on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer basis.
ECU’s Board of Directors consists of a number of dynamic personalities who have a rich and diverse experience in the field of utilities, manufacturing, construction, banking, investments and property development.
